Hello and thank you for visiting my website. I know that buying or selling a home is one of the most important things you will ever do, and I want to help make that experience as smooth and successful as possible.
My extensive experience and expertise in the Kaufman, Scurry, Rosser, Crandall, and Kaufman County real estate market will benefit you whether you are looking to buy or sell a home in the area. For 33 years I served as the editor and publisher of community newspapers in Kaufman, Terrell, Rockwall and Forney. It was a unique venture into the lives of some great communities and great people. What I learned more than anything else is that my friends, neighbors and family who live in these communities are proud of their homes, schools, churches and even their places of business and where they work. The Jordan family came to Kaufman county in the late 1800's and started farming and ranching near Mabank. My great-grandfather was one of the founding members of the Farmer's Cooperative in Mabank where farmers and ranchers purchased most of their feed and grain until the mid-1960's. My grandfather ranched hundreds of acres of land in southern Van Zandt County and land near Mabank, he operated a small grocery store during the Depression and moved to Kaufman when he retired from ranching in 1965. My dad practiced law in Kaufman for over 40 years and my oldest son continues in his grandfather's footsteps after granduating from Texas Tech's School of Law. My youngest son is the Marketing Director of Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative. Both of my sons are graduates of Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. My wife, Deborah, has lived in Kaufman all of her life and she has taught in the Kaufman School District for 25 years. All-in-all it isn't hard to see that we are a family with deep roots in Kaufman County and why I have a deep appreciation for the value of our land and our homes. For me the real estate business is not so much about economics -- it's about passing on family traditions and continuing to be a part of the fabric of this great community where my grandchildren can grow up and be proud of knowing they have a rich heritage as part of Kaufman County.
